A scholarly press that is part of the University of Arkansas system and also part of the American Association of University Presses. The University of Arkansas press publishes Arkansas and regional studies, as well as books of national interest. In 2012, the UA Press published Vines’ The Coal Life.
Louisiana State University Press
LSU Press is a nonprofit book publisher dedicated to the publication of scholarly, general interest, and regional books. An integral part of LSU, the Press shares the university’s goal of the dissemination of knowledge and culture. Slash Pine Press
Born in 2009, Slash Pine Press publishes chapbooks of poetry and mixed-genre work. They also host irregular and off-the-beaten path reading events, including the Slash Pine Writers Festival held at the end of April each year. Slash Pine Press lives at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
